SAND CDBMS Delivers Efficient Archival Storage and High-Performance Ad Hoc Analytics at Human Resources and Social Development Canada

Human Resources and Social Development Canada (HRSDC) was created in 1993 to provide an integrated approach to Canada’s national investment in people. HRSDC administers programs supporting the income of Canadians and human resources programs linked to the requirements of the national economy and labour market. HRSDC’s programs and services are delivered through a network of Human Resources Development Canada offices, which are located in hundreds of communities across Canada.

HRSDC decided to implement SAND Analytics to provide efficient storage of LMSS archived data (actually replacing the antiquated LMSS) and to support the required ad-hoc reporting. The SAND Analytics implementation proved to be a cost-effective solution that satisfied the urgent need of analysts for faster response to their ad-hoc queries.
