Installing SAND CDBMS for Windows

Important!
If a previous SAND CDBMS (Analytics) release has been installed, it will have to be uninstalled before the latest software can be installed.

To begin installing SAND CDBMS software from CD-ROM onto a Windows system, insert the installation CD-ROM into the local system's CD-ROM drive, and run the setup program in the root directory. Then follow the instructions provided by the Installation Wizard. To install all client and server programs and the ODBC driver, select the COMPLETE install option. To see which programs are installed, or select individual programs for installation, select the CUSTOM install option.

By default, program files and a sample nucleus.ini file are installed in the "C:\Program Files\Sand" directory.

The Nucleus ODBC driver for Windows clients is installed by default.

For information about using SAND Analytic Explorer to connect to a database instance, consult the SAND Analytic Explorer help.

For information about using SAND Enterprise Manager to connect to the SAND Enterprise Service on the host computer, consult the SAND Enterprise Manager help.
