SAND CDBMS Opens Up Financial and Traffic Data for Analysis at 407 ETR (Express Toll Route)

407 International Inc. is the sole shareholder, operator and manager of 407 ETR, the world’s first all-electronic open access toll highway extending 108 kilometers east-west, just north of Toronto. 407 International Inc. is owned by a consortium comprised of the Canadian subsidiary of Cintra Concesiones de Infraestructuras de Transporte (co-owned by Grupo Ferrovial and Australian-headquartered Macquarie Infrastructure Group) and Canadian-based SNC-Lavalin.

Within a week of project startup — so fast that it was hard for some at 407 ETR to believe! — reports were being produced from the new warehouse. Overall, the speed of the implementation, and the performance of the SAND CDBMS system, has enabled the company to “open up” their financial and traffic data and provide flexible, high-performance analytics throughout the company at a considerably reduced total cost of ownership.

>“SAND’s solution provided a data warehouse maintaining 24 months of traffic and financial data online with daily updates, delivering high-performance ad hoc query capability as well as a number of standard reports, on time and on budget.” – Dave Allred, CIO of 407 ETR
